(no subject)

yesterday, i went with my mom to find the props for the fall play this year, "Kiss Me, Kate!". and the prop list is as follows: a milking stool, a stuffed pigeon, fake guns, gun holster, grapes and baskets, pewter tankards, baseball bat, glove, and hat, along with a gody ring, corncob pipe, fake flowers, a pillow/cushion,coke bottles, and lastly, a frame, a signed photo,  a straw broom, and a card that you would get with flowers. (there might be a few things i forgot, but oh well.)

so we got all of the
things listed, accept the stuffed pigeon and signed photo with the card.  so the only placed we could find at antique stores and a place called Wal-mart, along with craft warehouse.i will tell you that the better part of the day was driving around Boise, Meridian, and Garden City, with my mom telling me where to go and why. so we went to places such as the Dusty Trunk, Mary's Antiques,  and Once Upon a Time, just to name a few. most of the places were dusty, and ancient looking places filled to the roof, and had things that ranged from telephones, records, and tub made into a sofa.(yes i saw that). so i took from around 12 to 4:30.

i was pleasantly surprised that one of the places we went to was holding an auction. so we walked around and looked for the things we needed, and found a cardboard box full of pewter tankards! just what i need! so we wait till the auctioneer got to the area where the  tankards were, and bid for them, and lost to a one legged man.....sad panda. but it worked out fine because as lick would have it, my mom knew him! (i swear they all know each other some how...) and i got his number and was guaranteed to get the three i needed. so yeah, Mrs. Harrison should build me a statue of spending ALL day getting props. so yeah EVERYONE should be grateful of my efforts and as the show says "C'mon and kiss me Kate!"

going on vacation

i'm going on vacation to Puerto Vallarta, and there is a lot to do. mainly focusing around, PACKING.  packing all the things you need is hard to do.  the best way to get all the things you need is to make a list.  lists save my life most of the time. and once you include your clothes and all your other nessecary things...(unmentionables, and such...). then the waiting...oh the waiting. waitinng for the day you leave is the hardest. the best thing to do is not think about it.  thinking about it makes it so much harder.  but with the way it works with my sister and i is, we fly out and end up in Texas, were we meet my dad, and stay in texas for about three or four hours. (3 am till 8ish)... then we fly to Puerto Vallarta and my sister and i will sleep on the beach or in our hotel room....

going downtown

"down  town..." ahh, going to the center of the cultural world for the surrounding Eagle, Meridian, and Boise areas.  the most fun you will have except for doing something that has to do with a farm, animals, and country sides.  so for those of you who would like to go for something that gets you into a concrete jungle only Idaho style, this ones for you.  its the closest to a cityscape that Idaho will get.  but it suits the locals and visitors alike.  i am tonight , going to one of the unique and fine establishments in the downtown, The Record Exchange.

this store puts me back into my favorite moments of High Fidelity, but with a random store for clothing, cards, bags, jewelry....etc. (a whole crap load of different stuff in the back of a record and CD store.) so yes the Record Exchange is an awesome place to hang out and have a good time finding music you like.  and I'm going down town for a certain reason. catching and movie, shopping, eating, all what you CAN do downtown, but i am going for another reason, Music.

listening to music is a huge thing to do downtown.  because there are many different places in the downtown area that you can listen to all sorts of music. Jazz, rock, punk, country, and so much more can be found playing all within streets of each other.  but i am going to the Record Exchange to listen to a new band i found out about through a friend.  and so as i dive into the cultural ambiance of Boise Downtown. wish me luck!

am i really that short?

i'm always being told how short i am, and how awesome it is.  well i have to agree almost of the time, but a lot of the time its not all its cracked up to be.  i mean, not being able to reach the top of the shelf, not being able to get things out of people's hands, not being able to see tall things, having to alter pants,  having to show my ID into movies, having smaller EVERYTHING! but i guess being short has it's advantages aswell.  not hearing things i don't want to hear, being more "cute and small" looking, so that is in a way an advantage to guys, so i'm never going to be taller than any guy, but again they think they can take advantage of me, so its both bad and good.

so in the whole relm of being short, i like it. even though i can't wear certain clothes, and i have to get on my tip-toes to get stuff, and even though i get made fun of ALL THE TIME. but yes, i like being short. in fact, my favorite people are short. such as Ellen Page, Mickey Roone, and most of my family. (we have a lot of short genes overcoming the tall genes.)

i want a tattoo!

have you ever wanted to get something ridiculous? well not ridiculous but something that you can have forever and not to extreme.  like i was thinking, my twin cousin and i want to do something really cool for our last year of school, so we were thinking of  doing something or getting something we can remember for the rest of our lives. so i'm going to scare her really bad by telling her we should get matching tattoos.  this would be awesome if she actually went along with it.  and i think my tattoo if actually able to get one i think it would be a really cool curly heart that has the "cousins"  in the middle  would be a purple and blue color. and it would be about two inches by three inches.and that ladies and gents is my imaginary tattoo.

The Dark Knight

we are all anxious for the opening of The Dark Knight, and like most of  the population who like the Batman movies and of course, are wanting to see the performances of Chirstian Bale, Maggie Gilinhaal, and the late great Heath Ledger.(sad he had to go a bit mad when he was playing this character, and overdose by accident.) so i think that even though he is long gone, i want to see his performance and some how pay respect to him.

i have been waiting to see this movie since i herd about it. so if you decide like me to go to the opening night, or go when it's out in theatres everywhere, i hope you have fun being thrilled and scared by this movie. i hope to see lots of people out there, and i know that everyone who goes.

but i have to say, i love the experience of opening night.  the excitement that seems to bubble around us, and the people you meet waiting to see the same movie as you. and this is the best thing that happens at any movie premiere you go to, or anything that you look forward to for that matter.  so enjoy the movie, with all your friends and have a great time! so may the magic of movies take you away.

what gender are the BEST friends?

I've been thinking, what is the best gender of friend? i know many girls says their girlfriends, and guys say their guy friends but is the best friend the opposite sex? i mean are we  honestly so sure that the best friend is a same sex person? i personally don't think so. my best friend is a guy and i like that, because he's someone who doesn't spread crap about me, and will be perfectly honest with me.

and I'm not the only one. my older sister has a best friend who's a guy and she thinks that he understands her better than any girlfriend. and i've met guys who think that their friends who are girls are better friends then most of their guy friends.

so for those of you who think that only people who are the same sex as you are the best friends, maybe they are. but i encourage you to find at least one friend who isn't the same sex as you. and try to get a relationship going with that person, you may be surprised about the person you get to know. so try it out, for me? please.

"Stage Mistress"

if you had to decide what movie your life would be modeled after what would it be? Comedy or Drama?Chick flick, Action, Adventure, or Indie? what would you put in it? what would be so important to put in the movie? who would play you? your friends and family? are you going to put all of your life moments or just the ones that will have the most affect on your audience? this would be a hard thing to decide on, but i think it would be an awesome movie.

so here it goes. my movie would be a little more on the Indie side and not a lot of action, not my life. I'm more mellow with comedy and some drama, like all lives. my movie would focus my Theater side. i love theater and all that is to do with it. it would focus on my first play that i get to manage. (and of course, my movie would be a little made-up or stretched truth.) my friends and family would be played by people not really known, or out of the A-list crowd.(a lot of Canadians or B-listers). so, people, genre, hmm...... oh the basic story line.

so it would start out with the end of the production and everyone is cheering and bowing. and then my voice would say, "yeah, this is my moment. my first play i really owned." at this point the camera would zoom in on the lead actress. "No, (laugh) that is not me..." Camera zooms to second lead, "nope, not me." then the camera goes to another girl, someone who only has one line. "no, that's not me either." and finally, the camera would go to the right hand of the stage and zoom in on a short, tiny, proud girl smiling from ear to ear, clapping and jumping up and down laughing with joy. "yes, this is me, the Stage Manager, and even though i was backstage, i am so proud."

then a girl all clad in make-up and a costume comes over to me and grabs my hand and tugs."Come on Emma, this is as much my moment as it is yours." she says and pulls me out onto the stage and the Director, Mrs. Harrison, motions to me and i move towards her smiling and the Audience claps harder, and we all bow together.
And that is the beginning. from there i start the story all the way back to the start of the school year, and walk the Audience through the whole thing, all the drama from the actors, techies, even with Mrs. Harrison. What a great movie, and the title? "Stage Mistress".

Unicorns are too rare

so we all know that it's always guys who play RPGs and D&D, right? wrong.  the thing is when we think of video games, comp. games, we always think of guys playing those games. well that shouldn't always be the case. i mean yeah more guys play them then girls but who cares! i play Dungeons and Dragons once maybe twice a week and love playing it. now of course guys will continue to rule at video and computer games, but we can be just as nerdy mean, girls can larp better most of the time, and we can, with practice, kick guy's asses at other games.

so i'm making a call out to all Unicorns out there who think that they should just play alone and continue to improve. yes and no.  i think you shoulld deffinately work on improving on your own, but you should also play with other people to see what you really need to focus on. you might think you do pretty well on Zelda but turns out you suck at a certain move you always avoid.  so girls, play with the boys. yeah they'll make fun and they can be rude, but they also might be able to give you pointers on how to play better, and who knows you might get a few numbers too.  and don't be afaid to talk either, be loose and have fun. if your good they'll say so, and if not they'll help you.and they  won't talk a lot of crao behind your back like girls do.
